Policies All policies, standards, rules, and the discipline grid progression found in the Terronez Middle School 2018-2019 Parent / Student Handbook will be followed and enforced. Computer usage at Terronez Middle School is a privilege not an entitlement. The computers in room P105 are networked and pre-set for student use. Before you are allowed to use the computer at any workstation, you will sign the FUSD Acceptable Use Policy found when you first log on to a computer on Fresno Unified's Network. You must also agree to and sign the following rules and conditions:
1. The keyboard and mouse are the only 2 input devices you will need when using the computer. Other devices may only be used with prior teacher permission. None of the controls, buttons, switches, monitor, or computer settings are to be touched, moved, or adjusted unless directed by Mr. Grothman.
2. You must also straighten your computer station before you are dismissed from class. (Return the computer station to its original condition.)
3. If the computer does not seem to be operating properly, you are to let the teacher (Mr. Grothman or guest teachers) know immediately. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM YOURSELF.
4. DO NOT SHARE PASSWORDS! Network Passwords that are assigned, may not be changed, and are to be kept private.
5. Other than a note book and writing utensil, no personal items, backpacks, purses, books, and other materials are allowed to be put on the computer table. Those items will be stored on the back of your chair.
6. The chairs are equipped with wheels to reduce the wear and tear on the floor. Excessive rollingplaying will result in you sitting in a chair without wheels.
7. Absolutely no student food or drink, except water in a closeable container are allowed in the computer lab. (This includes gum, candy and seeds.)
8. Bathroom use is restricted to urgent situations only. Urgent needs do not occur regularly or often.
I believe that a close relationship between the teacher, student and parent is important to your success. Most of my correspondence is done through email and phone calls. I would really rather make positive calls home. I usually check my email several times during the school day and before and after school as well. My email address is [email protected] You may also call 559-253-6570. I look forward to working with your child this semester.
